free to be bree.

I'm Bree. I'm a 26 year old Jersey girl, and I'm here to dazzle you with my cupcakes! Well, maybe not "dazzle" exactly, but I do tend to brag about my cupcake endeavors quite a bit. I'll also throw in some random "things going on in my life" posts from time to time. Enjoy!

We’re heeeeeere!! T-minus 10 minutes!

Last weekend, upon arriving home from her weekly Saturday morning grocery shopping excursion, my mom excitedly presented me with these two little potted plants.

Mom: Look what I got!
Me: Oh, um, cool!
Mom: Do you know what they are?
Me: Flowers!
Mom: Primrose!

My mom hearts the Hunger Games.

I love my mom. (re: The Hunger Games movie)

Also, yes, we are Eydie (sic) and Bree. Like on Desperate Housewives.

Addendum: Official Panem ID card has just been ordered.

Yeah, I don’t think I’d be Facebook friends with me…

I’m official!! District 10, along with the crippled boy. And cows (obviously). Oh, and I’m a breeder. Heeeeeeeeeeeeey. Gross.

Also, The Hunger Games is seriously crack! I’m seriously addicted and cannot stop talking about it. I started reading yesterday, and am currently 25 pages from the end. Off I go to Cato this bitch.

I finally did it! I finally bit the bullet and purchased The Hunger Games for my Nook.

I downloaded the sample, zipped through the first 38-pages faster than I’ve ever zipped through a book before, and already needed more. Needless to say, I immediately logged onto my BN.com account and bought that bad boy.

Guys, this book is crack. (But you knew that already.)

Next up: The Fault in Our Stars, followed by A Walk Across the Sun, potentially with a little Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society thrown in.

I’d really like to read the Hunger Games as Danielle and Lili (the two ladies I consider my source for anything worth checking out) are pretty much obsessed with it, and I need to see what all this is about. I honestly have no idea what the trilogy is even about, and I’ve avoided watching the trailer for the movie because I’d really like to read the book and not get any preconceived notions from the trailer.

The other issue is that I’m really strapped for cash, and can only figure out how to download the audiobook copy from the library for my Nook.

To download the audiobook or to just cough up the cash… that is the question.
